Upcoming Litter Pick 2nd April 2017

Residents are invited to join the ZCRA committee on an estate litter pick on the 2 April 2017 at 10am. We will meet outside the SPAR shop in Frenchman’s Creek. Gloves, bags and litter pickers will be provided. The litter pick will run from 10am – noon, and is always a friendly social event suitable for all ages!

As usual, we will be joined by members of the Geocaching community, completing their ‘cash in, trash out’ challenge. (www.geocaching.com/cito) This will be our 8th joint litter pick with them.

Success of Family Art Event ‘Create a Masterpiece’

The ZCRA sponsored Family Art event ‘Create a Masterpiece’ was greatly enjoyed by those attending. Lots of beautiful 2d and 3d artwork was created in paint, crayon, charcoal and clay, by children, parents and grand-parents of all ages!

Many thanks go to artists Fatima and Barbara for running a day of crazy creations, and to Nicole Le Jeune from ZCRA for organising the much appreciated event.

ZCRA hope to run similar events in the future. Remember to look out for the craft tent at the 2017 fete!

Chairman’s Farewell Dinner

On the 28 February, friends and grateful members of the Zebon Copse Residents’ Association gathered together to thank their long-standing Chairman who recently retired. Guests of honour, David Jackson and his wife Vicky, were treated to a farewell supper at the Exchequer in Crookham Village.

For over 20 years David Jackson has served on the ZCRA committee dedicating much of his time and effort to maintaining a pleasant living environment and community spirit on the Zebon Copse Estate.

As a parting gift, David and Vicky were presented with a bouquet of flowers and a holiday at Leeds Castle, which we hope they will enjoy.

We would like to thank David for his dedicated service, and wish him and Vicky a pleasant retirement.
